This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") applies to use of Net Rentals websites, applications, hosted rental websites, customer portals, dashboards, messaging tools, integrations, APIs, infrastructure, and related services. This Policy forms part of the Net Rentals Terms of Service.
1. General Requirement
You may use Net Rentals only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the Terms of Service , this Policy, and applicable law.
You are responsible for activity conducted through your account and for the actions of employees, contractors, administrators, or other users you authorize to access Net Rentals.
You may not use Net Rentals in a way that harms customers, rental businesses, Net Rentals, service providers, third parties, or the integrity and availability of the platform.
2. Unlawful Activity
You may not use Net Rentals to engage in, facilitate, promote, assist, conceal, or encourage activity that violates applicable law or regulation.
This includes using Net Rentals in connection with unlawful rental activity, unlawful financial activity, unlawful collection practices, theft, fraud, identity misuse, or other illegal conduct.
Rental businesses are responsible for determining and complying with laws that apply to their vehicles, customers, rental agreements, communications, payments, insurance, taxes, licenses, and operations.
3. Fraud, Deception, and Misrepresentation
You may not use Net Rentals to commit or facilitate fraud, deception, or material misrepresentation.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Creating fraudulent or fictitious bookings.
- Submitting false identity or eligibility information.
- Using another person's account without authorization.
- Impersonating another person or business.
- Misrepresenting vehicle ownership or authority to rent a vehicle.
- Publishing materially false vehicle descriptions or availability.
- Misrepresenting rental prices, fees, deposits, or policies.
- Submitting false evidence in connection with a rental or dispute.
- Manipulating transactions to evade legitimate charges or obligations.
- Using stolen or unauthorized payment methods.
4. Customer and Rental Business Conduct
Net Rentals may not be used to threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate, abuse, or unlawfully discriminate against another person.
Rental businesses must not use the platform to intentionally deceive customers regarding rental terms, charges, refunds, deposits, vehicle condition, vehicle availability, or other material aspects of a rental.
Customers must not use Net Rentals to intentionally deceive rental businesses regarding identity, eligibility, vehicle condition, payment authorization, rental activity, or return circumstances.
5. Messaging, Email, and SMS
Communication tools provided through Net Rentals must be used responsibly and in accordance with applicable communications, privacy, marketing, and consumer-protection laws.
You may not use Net Rentals communication tools to:
- Send spam or unsolicited bulk communications.
- Send deceptive or misleading communications.
- Conduct phishing or credential-harvesting campaigns.
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate recipients.
- Send unlawful discriminatory content.
- Send SMS messages without required consent.
- Ignore applicable opt-out requests.
- Circumvent suppression or consent controls.
- Falsify sender identity or message origin.
Message frequency, disclosure, consent, and opt-out requirements may vary depending on applicable law and the type of communication.
6. Sensitive Information
Users must handle sensitive customer and business information responsibly and only for legitimate authorized purposes.
Do not intentionally place the following information into messaging systems, support forms, notes, or other freeform fields that are not specifically designed to receive it:
- Full payment card numbers.
- Card security codes.
- Passwords.
- Authentication secrets.
- Private API keys.
- Security recovery codes.
- Other credentials that could provide unauthorized access.
Payment information should be submitted only through approved payment interfaces.
7. Security Abuse
You may not attempt to compromise, bypass, disable, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to Net Rentals or systems connected to the platform.
Prohibited conduct includes:
- Attempting to access another user's account without authorization.
- Attempting to access another rental business's data.
- Bypassing authentication or authorization controls.
- Circumventing tenant isolation or role restrictions.
- Bypassing billing, subscription, or feature-access controls.
- Attempting to obtain secrets, credentials, tokens, or private keys.
- Distributing malware, ransomware, spyware, or malicious code.
- Introducing code designed to damage or disrupt systems.
- Exploiting vulnerabilities for unauthorized purposes.
- Interfering with logging, monitoring, or security controls.
8. Security Testing and Vulnerability Research
You may not perform penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, automated security testing, exploitation, or similar activity against Net Rentals systems without authorization.
If you believe you discovered a security vulnerability, report it privately through the contact process described on the Security page .
Do not access, alter, copy, download, or disclose information belonging to other users while investigating a suspected issue.
9. Platform Interference
You may not intentionally disrupt or degrade Net Rentals or infrastructure used to provide the platform.
This includes:
- Denial-of-service activity.
- Excessive automated requests intended to impair performance.
- Attempts to overwhelm platform resources.
- Interference with normal operation of APIs or websites.
- Deliberate creation of excessive errors or failed transactions.
- Using the platform in a manner that creates unreasonable infrastructure risk.
10. Automated Access and Scraping
You may not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, scripts, or other automated systems to access Net Rentals in a manner that violates these Terms, circumvents technical restrictions, creates unreasonable load, or collects information without authorization.
Authorized APIs, integrations, or automation features may be used in accordance with the documentation and limits applicable to those features.
11. Reverse Engineering and Circumvention
Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, circumvent, or attempt to derive protected source code or confidential technical information from Net Rentals.
You may not intentionally bypass usage limitations, permissions, rate limits, subscription gates, or technical restrictions.
12. Content and Listings
Content uploaded, published, or transmitted through Net Rentals must be lawful and must not violate the rights of others.
You may not knowingly upload or publish:
- Content you do not have the right to use.
- Fraudulent or misleading rental listings.
- False vehicle photographs or materially deceptive descriptions.
- Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, or other rights.
- Malicious files or code.
- Content whose publication is prohibited by law.
13. Identity and Verification Systems
Identity verification, driver's-license verification, insurance, agreement, and similar renter requirement systems may be used only for legitimate rental and platform purposes.
You may not:
- Submit false identity documents.
- Submit another person's identity information without authorization.
- Alter verification records to create a false result.
- Use verification information for unrelated unauthorized purposes.
- Attempt to bypass verification controls required for a rental.
14. Payment and Financial Abuse
Net Rentals payment functionality may not be used for fraudulent, unlawful, misleading, or unauthorized transactions.
You may not:
- Use stolen or unauthorized payment credentials.
- Create sham rental transactions for unrelated fund movement.
- Use the platform to conceal unlawful financial activity.
- Misrepresent charge amounts or reasons.
- Submit fabricated post-trip fees or evidence.
- Attempt to manipulate payment-provider controls.
- Use Net Rentals to evade payment-provider restrictions.
Rental businesses are responsible for ensuring that customer charges are authorized, accurate, and supported by applicable rental terms and law.
15. Privacy and Customer Information
You may access customer or business information only when you are authorized to do so and only for legitimate purposes.
You may not:
- Use customer information for unrelated unauthorized purposes.
- Sell or disclose customer information unlawfully.
- Access records belonging to another business without authorization.
- Use personal information to harass, threaten, or exploit an individual.
- Attempt to obtain personal information through deception.

16. Third-Party Services
Net Rentals may connect to third-party services for payments, communications, identity verification, advertising, agreements, analytics, domains, infrastructure, and other functions.
You may not use Net Rentals integrations to violate the terms, restrictions, or policies of an applicable third-party service.
Misuse that threatens Net Rentals' access to a third-party provider may result in immediate restriction of the applicable feature or account.
17. Sandbox and Test Environments
Sandbox or test environments must be used for legitimate testing, training, demonstration, quality assurance, and development purposes.
Users should not intentionally place unnecessary real customer information or sensitive production credentials into test environments.
Test environments may not be used to evade restrictions that apply to production services.
18. Circumvention and Evasion
You may not create additional accounts, businesses, identities, domains, integrations, or other resources for the purpose of bypassing a suspension, restriction, billing obligation, abuse control, consent requirement, or enforcement action.
Attempts to conceal prohibited activity may be treated as an additional violation of this Policy.
19. Investigation and Enforcement
Net Rentals may investigate suspected violations of this Policy.
When reasonably necessary, Net Rentals may:
- Request additional information.
- Restrict specific platform functionality.
- Disable communications or integrations.
- Temporarily suspend an account.
- Remove unlawful or prohibited content.
- Terminate access for serious or repeated violations.
- Preserve relevant records.
- Cooperate with service providers.
- Respond to valid legal or regulatory requests.
Enforcement decisions may take into account the severity of the conduct, risk to others, prior violations, whether the violation appears intentional, and whether the issue can be safely corrected.
20. Immediate Restrictions
Net Rentals may take immediate action without advance notice where reasonably necessary to address:
- An active security threat.
- Fraud or suspected theft.
- Unauthorized account access.
- Malware or malicious activity.
- Threats to platform availability.
- Risk to customer or business information.
- A legal requirement.
- Conduct likely to cause substantial harm.
21. Legal Process and Serious Misuse
Net Rentals may preserve or disclose information when required by applicable law, valid legal process, or as otherwise permitted under the Privacy Policy .
Serious suspected criminal activity, fraud, security abuse, or threats to safety may be referred to appropriate service providers, financial institutions, or authorities where required or permitted by law.
22. Reporting Misuse
Suspected misuse of Net Rentals can be reported through the Net Rentals contact page.
When reporting a concern, provide enough information to identify the issue without including passwords, full payment-card information, or other unnecessary sensitive credentials.
23. Changes to This Policy
Net Rentals may update this Acceptable Use Policy as the platform, integrations, security requirements, abuse patterns, or applicable laws change.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page identifies the most recent revision.
A violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may also constitute a violation of the Net Rentals Terms of Service and may result in restriction, suspension, or termination of access.
